Petal Bloom lowercase and uppercase specimen posters side by side on a plum ground

Petal Bloom is a display typeface drawn as coursework at UiTM in 2024. The assignment was to pick a theme and build a new typeface from it. Yana chose the water lily.

Every letter keeps its plain, legible shape while carrying an accent of the flower. An A is still an A, with a piece of water lily in it.

The set covers specimen sheets for both cases, a magazine spread set in the face, and a short animated logo, drawn in Adobe Illustrator, laid out in InDesign, and assembled into a working, installable TTF font.
